Get to Know Leta
Leta started her journey with Abacus as an intern in January 2023, officially becoming an Analyst in January 2024. Originally from the St. Louis area, Leta was raised in Springfield, MO.
Her educational background includes earning an Associates of Applied Science in Accounting and Business Management from OTC, followed by a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Missouri State. Currently, Leta is pursuing her Master’s in Accountancy through part-time education at Missouri State.
In addition to her academic achievements, Leta has served as an accounting tutor at Ozarks Technical Community College for 2 ½ years, and as the Treasurer of a small non-profit for 2 years. Beyond the realm of accounting, she spent 4 years in various roles at restaurants, including 2 years in team leadership.
As the oldest of 5 siblings and a recent aunt to her older stepsister’s child, family holds a special place in Leta’s heart. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, and swimming during the summer, and in the winter she enjoys baking, crocheting, and snuggling with her cat.
