The move marks the third merger and the sixth office for Abacus CPAs

Abacus CPAs, LLC is proud to announce the acquisition of Porterfield & Company CPA, PLLC, which become the fifth and sixth office locations of the firm, expanding service locations to Fayetteville and Harrison, Arkansas. Abacus has continued to expand the firm’s client base, service lines, in addition to the expanded locations.  The acquisition became final on October 1, 2022.

Abacus and Porterfield were in discussions of the merger for nearly a year.  The new locations will help Abacus CPAs expand the distinctive services that clients have grown to trust and will also include better guidance for the business community in Fayetteville and Harrison. Ark. It is the first out-of-state merger for Abacus CPAs. The firm merged Rotramel and Associates in Lee’s Summit in 2013 and Perryman and Associates in Springfield in 2008.

Abacus CPAs has seen continued, purposeful growth since its founding in 1998.  Specializing in tax, accounting, audit and consulting services, Abacus has also garnered success in niches related to over-the-road transportation drivers, McDonald’s Owner/Operators and State Farm agents.  The move into Arkansas will enable the firm to build relationships with local businesses and professionals, including the restaurant franchise community.
