Carisa joined Abacus CPAs as a Tax Resolution Associate in September 2023. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she earned her Associate’s degree in Business from Alabama State University. With an extensive background as a General Manager in the full-service and casual dining industry, Carisa’s expertise is a valuable asset to our team. She finds her greatest joy in her family, including her husband, Derrick, and her two children, 22-year-old daughter Rebekah and 16-year-old son Jayce. Beyond her professional life, Carisa is a talented artist with her work showcased in various art exhibits. She’s also an entrepreneur, having owned and operated catering businesses, and she’s an accomplished author with a book in the process of being published. Carisa’s commitment to excellence is evident in her A++ certification and ServSafe credentials, ensuring the highest standards of service in her role.
