Get to Know Matthew

Matt Clark, CPA & CIA, joined Abacus CPAs in March of 2016 and is currently a Director in our Audit, Attestation, and Accounting/Payroll services departments. He specializes in audits, reviews, compilations, sales/use tax analysis, state income tax apportionment, IRS and state audit representation, and internal audits. Matt has many years of experience in the auditing field and is passionate about working with a diverse group of clients to develop gains in internal controls and operating efficiency to bring better results to the businesses’ bottom line.

Matt is a proud graduate of Missouri State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance. Matt also obtained his CPA license in 2014 and became a Certified Internal Auditor in 2018. Matt enjoys golfing weekly, even in the winter, and attending Kansas City Royals games during baseball season!
