Get to Know Samuel

Samuel Shafer joined Abacus CPAs in October 2015. He is a Senior Advisor in our Tax Department. Sam specializes in business and income tax preparation and has over five years of experience in public accounting. During college, he volunteered at the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program through Missouri State University. Sam is passionate about providing the best tax advice to help people achieve their business and life goals.

Sam attended both Missouri State University and Drury University. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2008, a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2015, and his CPA license in 2017. Outside of work, Sam and his wife were married in October of 2017 and, together, have a pug named Otis.
